Sanford Health holding vaccination events at Salem Armory
COVID-19 vaccine available by appointment for individuals 80-years-old and older
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sanford Health will begin COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals in the phase 1D population group as defined by the South Dakota Department of Health beginning with residents 80-years and older who live in McCook and Miner counties in southeast South Dakota.
The appointment-only vaccine events will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Salem Armory on the following dates:
• Jan. 27
• Feb. 10
• Feb. 24
• March 10
Other eligible individuals who fall under the 1A or 1C population groups as defined by the South Dakota Department of Health can also sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This includes health care workers, long-term care workers, emergency medical services, law enforcement and correctional officers.
To be added to the wait list for an appointment, fill out the ‘Vaccine Waiting List’ form at sanfordhealth.org. Sanford Health will then contact individuals who meet the current vaccine qualifications to schedule appointments.
Appointments cannot be scheduled through the Salem Armory.
